“When my son was younger, he was very obedient. Now, he usually just looks the other way and ignores me!”

Nowadays, young people are constantly absorbing new information and are more likely to form their own opinions. The generation gap between them and their parents could be greater than in the past. Parents can help to bridge this gap by learning more about popular culture; for example, watching Korean dramas or discussing the latest topics together. Acting as friends will give them a better understanding of what their kids are thinking, while also improving their relationships, and building trust.
