Free hand doesn’t equal free rein

Parents are attached to their kids so much that sometimes they tend to micro-manage their children’s education and daily lives. Does this type of parenting help or harm them?

MU legend Peter Schmeichel believes that parents should, as much as possible, lessen their involvement in their children’s learning. Sometimes the meaning of the results or whether they win or lose or may not be as important as the parents imagine. Children should be given the space to learn, to bear responsibility, so that they gain experience. If this is allowed to happen, then what the children learn will probably be more profound.
