In recent years, Hong Kong has actively promoted the development of cycling, including the construction of the Hong Kong Velodrome – the first in Hong Kong to meet the standards of the Union Cycliste Internationale with dedicated equipment and facilities. The venue includes a 250-metre indoor cycling track with supporting facilities of international standard that are suitable for holding all levels of training courses and international competitions. It also helps to support potential cycling athletes and enhance Hong Kong's position on the international stage.
