To encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to take the first step and try new experiences, the Club has launched the “Striding On” community betterment programme and its key activity, the “21-Day Challenge”.
The latest online video “Striding On – Spirit of Arts” featuring Aaron Kwok has been launched. This inspirational video depicts Kwok’s touching story of how he managed to overcome the many challenges he encountered on his journey of transformation from a dancer to a singer, and then an award-winning actor. His story echoes “Striding On – Spirit of Sports,” the previously launched video that tells the motivational story of Sarah Lee, the first female world champion cyclist from Hong Kong. Through their stories of perseverance and dedication in times of evolving changes, the Club hopes to encourage Hong Kong people to pursue continuous personal development so as to achieve breakthroughs in their own lives.
The second phase of the programme’s key activity, “Striding On — 21-Day Challenge”, has been rolled out. Covering two of the four strategic areas the Club has been focusing on, namely Arts and Culture, and Sports, participants can choose to take part in six types of activities. Six renowned masters, including: Sarah Lee, Rex Tso, Joao Moreira, Sunny Wong, Alice Mak and Leon Ko, act as “mentors” and encourage participants to use just 10 minutes every day to complete online lessons and embrace a new experience.
Apart from taking the first step for one’s own self, participants will also be benefiting the community, which echoes the Club’s spirit of “progressing together for a better future” with the Hong Kong people. For the first 10,000 people who have registered, the Club will make a donation to the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF HK) amounting to a maximum of HK$365 per person if the entire three week period is successfully completed.
