Hong Kong Jockey Club Heritage x Arts x Design (H.A.D.) Walk Project X Yuen Long & Tuen Mun – Village For Life
Experience cultural heritage with “Village Life”
Organised by HULU Culture and sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Heritage x Arts x Design (H.A.D.) Walk Project continues its tradition of amalgamating creative ideas and community elements as it articulates a thoughtful and artistic temporary exhibition. This year’s theme is “Village for Life”, and on display are 14 shipping containers that carry artefacts and narratives in community culture scavenged from Yuen Long and Tuen Mun. Combing through plots and settlements, unearthing village anecdotes and customs that were all but forgotten, the exhibition endeavours to integrate historical culture, art and design in guided tours and workshops. You’re invited to experience this very unique cultural experience. Mark the date!

Under the theme “Village for Life”, the seventh Hong Kong Jockey Club Heritage x Arts x Design (H.A.D.) Walk Project X Yuen Long & Tuen Mun showcases the unique traditional heritage of these two areas.
The exhibition endeavours to integrate historical culture, art and design in guided tours and workshops.
The programme hopes that the public will come to know the unique characteristics of old areas, and then pass the message of cultural preservation on to future generations.
The exhibition will showcase village home life and also feature an area where you can see a conceptual model of a traditional private school and experience life as a student in the olden days.
