In light of a rapidly ageing population, the Club's Charities Trust donated HK$380 million in 2006 to launch "CADENZA: A Jockey Club Initiative for Seniors" for the purpose of promoting new approaches to elderly care.

One of the innovative service models under the programme is the Jockey Club CADENZA Hub in Tai Po. Opened in 2009 and managed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Jockey Club CADENZA Hub is a one-stop integrated medical and social care centre that promotes the importance of primary healthcare among middle-aged and elderly people.
