All Categories Staff Volunteer Activities About the Trust

This is the second year Green Recycling Day activities be held upon the conclusion of the Hong Kong Flower Show to reinforce green measures and reduce waste. On 25 March, CARE members and other 300 volunteers assisted in separating and collecting reusable and recyclable materials at the showground for waste reduction. Before the Recycling Day, volunteers also attended a workshop to learn basic knowledge about recycling.

Flowers suitable for replanting and landscape displays suitable for reuse would be relocated to LCSD parks and amenity areas for public enjoyment, while pots of the theme flower Chinese hibiscus which suitable for replanting had been distributed to the public.
