All Categories Staff Volunteer Activities About the Trust

Organised by the Club, the Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit took place at Mong Kok Stadium in Hong Kong from 6 to 13 August. As a major event of the “Happy Hong Kong” campaign, launched by the HKSAR Government, the match featured various entertainment activities, including game booths and performances, for the public’s enjoyment. On 9 August and 12 August, over 40 volunteers from CARE@hkjc joined the event to provide balloon twisting services. Their skillful balloon creations brought joy and vibrant colours to the occasion.

To show support for the two Hong Kong teams and the visiting Manchester United Academy U16 team participating in the games, the CARE@hkjc balloon twisting team created balloons that matched the iconic colours of each team. They replicated the blue and yellow uniforms for one team and red and white uniforms for the other. The balloon twisting booth attracted a large crowd and many participants expressed their awe at the intricate balloon designs. The CARE@hkjc balloon twisting team added an extra touch by thoughtfully attaching a hand strap to each balloon, allowing everyone to easily carry the balloons on their arms. The sight of football fans waving their balloons while cheering for their supported teams was vivid and unforgettable.
