Sports event details

As the sole Partner Sponsor for Hong Kong Competition Region, The Hong Kong Jockey Club supports the 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympic Games (NGD & NSOG). This underlines our support for national sporting events and strong commitment to promoting national sports development.

We aim to boost event preparations in Hong Kong, particularly the volunteer service programmes, territory-wide community and school promotional activities, and initiatives enabling underprivileged groups and youth to attend the events as spectators. Some 100 members of our CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team will join hands with other volunteers to provide professional and attentive support for athletes, guests and spectators in the Hong Kong Competition Region.

We also support the equestrian events in the Guangdong Competition Region with our world-class expertise in equestrian sport, alongside official activities, volunteer services and promotion work in the Competition Region.

To enhance event experience, sports play-in area, themed game booths and workshops around each sport are set up at the competition venues, where we are part of it. Come visit us to learn more about our long-standing commitment to sports development.

Backing our athletes

Through dedication and hard work, local elite athletes have delivered incredible sporting successes for a territory with around seven and a half million people.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Team Hong Kong, China won four medals. More recently, the Hong Kong, China delegation returned from the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 World University Games with seven medals.

That success is something we believe should be recognised and incentivised. We are delighted to be supporting the Hong Kong Sports Institute by sponsoring the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (JCAIAS) for three years, starting from 2023. The scheme aims to support the all-round development of local athletes by providing cash incentives for winning gold, silver or bronze medals in major sporting events,  including the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Asian Games, Asian Para Games, World University Games, National Games and National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and respective Winter Games. Cash rewards will also be awarded to athletes finishing in fourth to eighth places in the Olympics and Paralympics in recognition of their achievements.

This support for elite athletes builds on the Club’s many decades of backing sporting excellence in Hong Kong. Click here to view more.
