Event details
A highlight of this year’s programme is “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Meet Mona Lisa & Portraying the Renaissance.” The exhibition merges immersive digital experiences centred around the portrait of Mona Lisa with physical Renaissance masterpieces, offering visitors a fresh and engaging perspective on the period.
We also support the “French Rendezvous@Tai Kwun”, featuring VOÚTE, a breathtaking performance by Cirque du Corbak of CNAC, France’s National Center for Circus Arts which blends music, visual art and technology into transformative performances.
Supported by The Jockey Club Community Outreach and Arts Education Programmes including guided tours and workshops, through the festival we hope to reach a wide and diverse audience.
We continue to support cultural development in Hong Kong, fostering a dynamic and inclusive cultural environment.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Meet Mona Lisa & Portraying the Renaissance
This exhibition presents a technology-enabled interpretation of the iconic masterpiece through six immersive experiences. These include panoramic projections blending portraits and landscapes, interactive multimedia displays that reveal Leonardo da Vinci’s science of painting, as well as games and immersive photo booth that offer visitors a journey into Mona Lisa’s world. Using ambient light, sound shower and artistic imagery, the exhibition also presents Mona Lisa as a guide, leading visitors through her story behind the mysterious smile that has captivated the world for centuries.
Portraying the Renaissance features a selection of Renaissance art treasures on loan from leading cultural institutions in France and Italy. Highlights include four Leonardo da Vinci manuscripts, alongside remarkable artworks by other masters of the period, reflecting the creativity and humanist spirit of the Renaissance.
Spanning over 500 years, these works continue to demonstrate their lasting cultural significance.

French Rendezvous @Tai Kwun: VOÚTE
A French collective blending music and visual art into transformative performances. It explores conflict—internal, within a company, a society, a world. Inspiration comes from the richness of interactions with oneself and others, from the beauty of flaws, the violence of repressed or expressed emotions, those that imprison in silence, those spoken hesitantly, those that overflow until they feel unmanageable.
An aesthetic of purity: an invitation to contemplate bodies that resist, struggle, debate, wait, support, and carry. An exploration of inner storms and calm after the tempest.
This programme is presented by the French May Arts Festival, partnered with Tai Kwun, and exclusively sponsored by us.
