Internationally acclaimed artist Anne Imhof makes her Asian solo debut at Tai Kwun, featuring live performances with Hong Kong Ballet dancers at selected times.
Event details
Anchored by a commission of monumental works, Anne Imhof, the Golden Lion-winning artist of the 2017 Venice Biennale, presents her first major solo exhibition in Asia at Tai Kwun, transforming the space into a multi-sensory experience through atmospheric scenography, paintings, sculptures, videos and sound installations, interwoven with live performances by Hong Kong Ballet.
At selected times, Hong Kong Ballet dancers move through Imhof’s carefully designed environments, drawing on classical ballet archetypes to unfold a story of discipline, transformation and self-formation.
Together with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Tai Kwun aspires to contribute to a culturally vibrant Hong Kong, amplifying the city’s role as a thriving arts and cultural hub in the region and the global arena.
