Hong Kong hosts the World Rugby WXV Global Series Challenger 2026 for the first time, bringing together six teams from Hong Kong China, Brazil, Fiji, the Netherlands, Samoa and Spain. As a premier international women's 15s rugby tournament, the event marks an important milestone in the development of women's rugby and reinforces Hong Kong's role as a host city for major international sporting events.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the tournament’s Official Community Partner, joins hands with Hong Kong China Rugby to launch the Jockey Club Women's Rugby Community Programme. Through a series of community engagement initiatives, youth development activities and coaching programmes, the initiative aims to promote women's rugby, broaden access to sport and inspire greater participation among young people and underserved communities.
