Event details
JC Youth Football Academy Summit is a week-long programme that combines cultural exchange, creative inspiration and athletic training, bringing together the Manchester United Academy U16, Hong Kong Premier Youth League U18 Champions—Kitchee and Hong Kong, China U16 Representative Team. They engage in a series of training sessions, friendly matches and cultural activities, as well as community service initiatives. This unparalleled event opens doors for the youngsters to exchange ideas and put their best foot forward.
Since 2017, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has collaborated with Manchester United and The Football Association of Hong Kong, China to introduce the Academy Summit. It is now supported by donation from the Trust to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for programme operation. It encourages youth players to "learn together, train together, play together".
Two friendly matches take place on 14 and 16 August, featuring Manchester United Legends Jaap Stam and Antonio Valencia, together with artists Edan@MIRROR and Jeffrey Ngai, who interact with football fans at the stadium and immerse themselves in the football fever. Outside the pitch, game booths are set up and audiences can also join a series of online giveaway games for a chance to win exciting prizes.
