Through the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (JCAIAS), we award cash incentives to Hong Kong, China athletes in recognition of their outstanding performances and pursuit of excellence.
Backing our athletes
Through dedication and hard work, Hong Kong’s elite athletes have delivered outstanding sporting successes for a territory with only around seven million people, while also achieving remarkable results on the international stage in recent years.
At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Team Hong Kong, China won four medals, followed by seven medals at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 World University Games and 19 medals at the 2025 National Games.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club believes such success should be recognised and incentivised, helping to strengthen the spirit and ambition of Team Hong Kong, China. We are delighted to continue sponsoring the Hong Kong Sports Institute’s implementation of a new cycle of the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (JCAIAS), providing cash incentives to Hong Kong, China athletes who excel at major sporting events. The new cycle covers seven major sporting events: the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Asian Games, Asian Para Games, World University Games, Winter World University Games and National Winter Games.
The 20th Asian Games, kicking off in September 2026, is the first major sporting event under the new JCAIAS cycle. Let’s cheer for our athletes at the Asian Games!
This support for elite athletes builds on the Club’s many decades of encouraging sporting excellence in Hong Kong. Click here to view more.
