CLAP@JC

Talent developmentYouth empowerment

We help Hong Kong's youth discover their values, strengths and other qualities by exploring multiple pathways to a fulfilling adulthood.

Enabling youth to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives

CLAP@JC – short for Career and Life Adventure Pathways for All Youth – is Hong Kong’s first support platform for career and life development (CLD) for young people from diverse backgrounds. It fosters sustainable collaboration among education, business and community sectors to facilitate their transition from school to work. The project's motto, “live different, live full”, encourages them to take on a participative role and maximise their potential.

The project has successfully engaged 130,000 students and young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) so far by enhancing their motivation and future aspirations. A localised framework known as CLAP HK Benchmarks is set to be implemented across one-third of secondary schools in Hong Kong.

We also plan for career and life development intervention in over 115 mainstream youth services units as well as pre-employment training. Ultimately, we hope to benefit 160,000 young people by helping them lead meaningful lives and make positive contributions to society.
