Bringing the Palace Museum to Classrooms

IoP has partnered with the Palace Museum to launch HELLO! The Palace Museum — School Caravan, an immersive digital cultural programme that will reach 160 schools across Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland between 2025 and 2028. Organised with the Academy of Chinese Studies and exclusively sponsored by IoP, the Caravan is a flagship initiative under IoP’s five‑year partnership with the Palace Museum to promote Chinese culture and nurture arts‑tech talent.

Officiated by leaders from the HKSAR Government, IoP, the Palace Museum, and the Academy of Chinese Studies, the launch highlighted how interactive experiences, from high‑definition videos and interactive touchscreens to virtual reality (VR) devices and mobile apps, will inspire students to explore the diversity of the Palace Museum and appreciate traditional Chinese culture. Each year, the Caravan will visit 40 schools, offering immersive exhibits and VR journeys that blend technology and heritage.

By bringing innovation into classrooms, the Caravan reflects IoP’s commitment to cultural appreciation, creativity, and connecting young learners to the richness of Chinese heritage.
