About the facility

Ocean Park, which opened in 1977, was built and initially operated with support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club. We later funded the construction of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Habitat in 1998 to house An An and Jia Jia, two giant pandas gifted by the Central Government.

After renovations in 2012, it was renamed Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures and housed the pandas and Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys.

In 2024, we supported upgrades to the animal habitats in both The Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Adventure and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures, enhancing the living conditions with snow features and natural landscaping. The donation also funded educational visits for underprivileged students.
