About the facility
Dedicated to the study and appreciation of Chinese art and culture, the Hong Kong Palace Museum fosters global dialogue and aspires to be a leading cultural institution. With a Hong Kong perspective and global vision, it showcases treasures from the Palace Museum and beyond. Through academic research, travelling exhibitions and exchange programmes, it builds international partnerships, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a global arts and culture hub.
The Museum, a collaboration between the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Palace Museum, received funding of HK$3.5 billion from The Hong Kong Jockey Club to support its establishment, as well as some of its annual exhibitions and education programmes from 2023 to 2032.
