Location 25 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin
Overview A training and development centre for the city's elite athletes.

About the facility

Established in 1982, the Hong Kong Sports Institute (formerly the Jubilee Sports Centre) serves as a training and development centre for the city's elite athletes.

With The Hong Kong Jockey Club support the Institute redeveloped the old athletes’ hostel into a multi-purpose elite training and coaching centre, which supports the development of Paralympic sports, junior elite athletes and coach education.

The Hong Kong Olympic and Paralympic medallists were nurtured here, including Vivian Kong, gold medallist in the women’s individual épée at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Cheung Ka-long, the first Hong Kong athlete to win two Olympic gold medals, and windsurfer Lee Lai-shan, Hong Kong’s first Olympic gold medallist.
