The Jockey Club Tower, HKU
About the facility
To support the development of higher education in Hong Kong and nurture a new generation of talent with a global vision and a strong sense of social responsibility, The Hong Kong Jockey Club supported the construction of the Jockey Club Tower on The University of Hong Kong’s Centennial Campus in 2010 and opened in 2012.
The Tower provides modern, fully equipped teaching and learning facilities for the Faculty of Social Sciences. In the same year, the faculty’s five departments—Sociology, Social Work and Social Administration, Politics and Public Administration, Geography, and Psychology—were moved into the building. The Tower also houses a state key laboratory and three research centres, further enhancing the faculty’s integrated teaching and research capacity.
