University Student Residences

Location Multiple districts
Overview These residences provide over 27,000 places across all eight universities in Hong Kong, offering students a holistic educational experience.

About the facility

The Hong Kong Jockey Club supported the construction of student hostels at all eight UGC-funded universities, aiming to improve the quality of students’ learning and living environments and address the shortage of hostel places in Hong Kong. Today, these hostels provide approximately 27,000 places.

Living and learning alongside their peers helps students build personal responsibility and social skills. The hostels also provide more diverse learning experiences and encourage students to engage with peers from different cultural backgrounds, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a regional hub for cultural and academic exchange.
