WWF Jockey Club Mai Po Peter Scott Visitor Centre
About the facility
To raise public awareness of nature conservation, particularly the high ecological value of the Mai Po Nature Reserve, The Hong Kong Jockey Club supported WWF-Hong Kong’s Mai Po Nature Reserve Infrastructure Upgrade Project in 2015.
The project included redeveloping the Peter Scott Visitor Centre into a 21st-century nature classroom, further strengthening the Reserve’s role in environmental education, ecological training and research. Other upgrades included the construction of two new bird hides, the renovation of an existing hide, improvements to the education centre, and the creation of The Jockey Club Nature Trail, with universal accessibility to support environmental education activities in Mai Po and the Inner Deep Bay area.
