Football x Leadership: Inspiring youth to make a positive impact

Since 2014, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been collaborating with Manchester United and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to introduce the JC Youth Football Leadership Scheme (the Scheme), curating Hong Kong's first football-powered leadership and community service programme for teenagers aged 15-19. The Scheme is now supported by donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for programme operation.

Focused on community contribution, we nurture the next generation as well-rounded leaders, empowering them to make a positive impact.

The JC Youth Football Leadership Scheme encompasses a comprehensive programme, including football event organisation workshop and thematic workshops led by star mentors. These workshops enhance the physical, mental and social abilities of young individuals, both on and off the pitch.

By integrating football event organisation training with leadership development, the Scheme provides a unique platform for youth to excel in their beloved sport while cultivating essential qualities for a successful life.

Every year, six outstanding young leaders are awarded the opportunity to visit Manchester, engaging in cultural exchanges and participating in community activities.
