We leverage information and communications technology (ICT) to support more innovative and effective family service delivery provided by all 26 NGO-operated Integrated Family Service Centres and Integrated Services Centres, for promoting family well-being, and enhancing the sector capacity in the use of technology and data in response to emerging service needs.
At the heart of a
healthy and happy community
lies healthy and happy families
The well-being of every family – as a whole and of the individuals within it – is a crucial component for modern society to flourish. To preserve and strengthen the family unit and prevent problems arising from an unstable home environment, there is a wide range of social welfare services in Hong Kong to ensure that every member’s needs are met.
We are working with partners across sectors to advance the use of ICT in enhancing family well-being through the project. By developing a service management system and a data analytics system to facilitate case management and service planning, and creating innovative service delivery models that leverage data, analytics, and digital capabilities, we aim to help people benefit more from the preventive, supportive, and early remedial family services currently being offered by all 26 NGO-operated Integrated Family Service Centres and Integrated Services Centres in Hong Kong. We are also providing capacity building programmes for social workers and social work students, and developing an online resources hub on family services for knowledge transfer on topics such as family and child protection, couple relationship and innovation on family services.
