“Basketball Commentary for New Talents” is an extension of the JC Junior Sports Reporters Programme. The course includes workshops by experienced basketball commentators, offering valuable skills and insights. Participants will also gain hands-on experience through live online commentary for local matches.
Veteran basketball commentator Patrick Ng is the principal instructor for the course. Starting his career in 2006 with Hong Kong Cable Television as an NBA commentator, he has spent nearly 20 years covering events like FIBA tournaments, the Chinese Basketball Association, the East Asia Super League, and local leagues. He has also hosted sports programmes and live broadcasts of international events, connecting with athletes and establishing himself as a professional presenter and emcee.
