Celebrating the future of healthcare: Second cohort of IoP medical and health scholars announced

The Institute of Philanthropy (IoP), in collaboration with the National Health Commission, proudly celebrated the announcement of its second cohort of Medical and Health Scholarship-cum-Fellowship for Top Talent in the Mainland at a presentation ceremony held in Beijing on 19 August 2025.

This year, 31 outstanding medical and health professionals from across the Mainland were selected to pursue advanced studies in Hong Kong and overseas, spanning master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral programmes. With the number of host institutions expanding from three to seven and programme offerings doubling to 14, the initiative continues to grow in scale—aligning closely with national priorities in medical research, public health, life sciences, and health administration.

Backed by a HK$300 million donation, the initiative is a cornerstone of IoP’s commitment to nurturing top-tier talent and supporting the “Healthy China 2030 Blueprint”.

May their journeys inspire transformation and impact on medical and health development across the region.
