Jockey Club helps Chu Hai College build new campus to provide further study options
14/01/2019

For the first time in its 70-year existence in Hong Kong, Chu Hai College of Higher Education is to have its own purpose-built campus, with the help of a HK$200 million donation from the Club’s Charities Trust. The new main campus opened officially on 14 January.

The new campus in Tuen Mun houses two major buildings with a total gross floor area of 32,000 square metres, of which the academic building has been named the Jockey Club Academic Tower.  Its facilities include auditoriums, a media production studio, laboratories, an indoor gymnasium and library. Also on the new campus are student hostel and staff quarters providing 190 hostel places, which are expected to benefit over 4,000 students directly each year.

The completion of the new Chu Hai College premises not only enhances its teaching environment and quality, but also helps boost the provision of degree places at self-financing tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and create more study pathways and continuing education opportunities.
