Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) walkathon “Pulse 2 Fun” was held on 1st December. All funds raised on the day would support HKDR's operating costs, including much needed veterinary care, purchase of dog food, dog beds and kennel supplies.

CARE team has long been care for the animals. CARE volunteers who pet dogs certainly grasped the opportunity to join the walkathon. They started the walk at The Pulse in Repulse Bay, and enjoyed the quality time with their dogs all the way to Deep Water Bay, where marked the completion of the walkathon. The organiser also arranged some interesting activities for the participants, namely a free hydrotherapy workshop and a dog gelato competition. From the remarkable smiles of participants, to the energetic movements of their dogs, they all shared the joyous atmosphere of the Fun Day.

Besides, CARE volunteers also supported the event in various positions. Since some checkpoints of the walk were relatively distant, some volunteers assisted in route management and directions, while some were responsible for logistics support. During the day, the theme of “fun” had vividly demonstrated throughout the adorable interactions between the dogs, the participants and the volunteers.
