CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team has been collaborating closely with various non-profit organisations to promote social inclusion in society. Aiming to enhance public awareness of guide dog services and the visually impaired community, CARE Team showed enthusiastic support to Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association’s (HKGDA) signature “HalloWoof Guide Dogs Online Walk 2021”, with over 190 CARE volunteers joining this meaningful and charitable walkathon in late 2021. Furthermore, CARE Team assisted in making HalloWoof towel doggies, which served as a special gift for the Online Walk participants who joined at least one of the following additional fun challenges with their pets, namely the “Costume Contest Show”, “Doggie Got Talent” and “Doggie Outdoor Activity Challenge”.

“HalloWoof Towel Doggy Workshop” was completed on 6 December 2021. A total of 100 colourful towel doggies were made by 20 CARE volunteers using simple materials such as towels, ribbons, and stickers. These cute towel doggies were presented as special souvenirs for HalloWoof Online Walk participants who joined the doggie challenges, to encourage the sharing of their lovely and heart-warming stories between them and their pets.
