Up to this year, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Fund has sponsored the Jockey Club Community Green Playground at the Hong Kong Flower Show for four consecutive years to enhance awareness of greening and nature conservation for our younger generation. Age-appropriate facilities and games in theme of nature and conservation were available where younger visitors, especially children, were welcomed to have fun with their families. Part of the materials used in the playground was donated by the local community, including but not limited to used car tiers, straws and cartons. CARE volunteer team had been supporting the event as playground facilitators since its start.

Before the event, CARE members joined a training workshop to understand their roles during the event. On 16 and 23 March, nearly 100 CARE members assisted the two-day event held on two consecutive Saturdays on the Central Lawn of Victoria Park. On top of providing on-site support, they led children to play and delivered green messages to them.
