It has been five years since the last "Peak to Fong", an amazing get-together of dog lovers and their furry companions organised by Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR). Held on 26 November 2023, Peak to Fong 2023 was the largest annual event of HKDR. The event kicked off at the Peak with a sponsored walk to Lan Kwai Fong. All funds raised during this unforgettable day went directly towards HKDR's operating costs, including crucial veterinary care, purchasing dog food, dog beds, and kennel supplies to support the lives of abandoned dogs and puppies.

The CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team has always been dedicated to animal rights and welfare. Eager to contribute to this meaningful event, around 70 CARE volunteers were mobilised to assist along the 3.4-kilometer charity walk route, providing guidance and managing "dog water stations" along the way. Participants and their dogs enjoyed the walk, frequently interacting with the volunteers, showcasing the shared joy of the event.

After the charity walk, the event continued with a vibrant street party with fun and entertainment. Attendees were treated to a variety of exciting programmes, including busking performances, charity sales, and special-themed booths, creating a delightful day for dog lovers and their furry buddies. The CARE Painters also organised a face painting booth to provide face and hand painting services, adding to the festive atmosphere and contributing to fundraising efforts for HKDR. The booth received a warm welcome from participants. The joyous atmosphere of the Fun Day was evident through the radiant smiles of participants and volunteers, as well as the energetic movements of their dogs.
