As a staunch supporter of sports programmes and activities in Hong Kong, the Club joined Radio Television Hong Kong (“RTHK”) to help out at its Hoops Fest Fun Day & 3x3 Basketball Invitational event at Macpherson Playground in Mong Kok on Sunday, 10 March.

It was the first time that RTHK has staged the event to encourage people of all ages and abilities to participate in sport. Teams from universities in Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macau were invited to play in a 3x3 basketball tournament, while booths hosted sports such as dodgebee and lacrosse.

The Club’s CARE Volunteer ran two booths on the day – one for face/body painting and the other for basketball-themed games. Despite the rain, CARE Volunteers ensured both booths kept participants entertained.

The face/body painting station was a big hit, adding an extra sparkle to the day. People loved the basketball most of all regardless of how old they were, along with the horse and horseshoe designs painted by the volunteers.
