Immediately after the devastating Sichuan earthquake in 2008, the Club made an emergency relief donation. It later pledged a further HK$1 billion for reconstruction projects in the affected areas.

The Club is always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, and this extends to those in the Mainland and across Asia. Over the years, donations and support have been provided to those affected by floods, earthquakes and tsunamis.

The seven Club-funded Sichuan post-earthquake reconstruction projects are:
