The Hong Kong Jockey Club Life Learning Fund has enabled more than two million students at all levels from 940 local primary and secondary school to participate in a wide range of learning activities outside the classroom, thereby widening their horizons and building their self-confidence and interpersonal skills.
The Fund was initially set up in 2002 with a donation of HK$141 million to the Education Bureau from the Club's Charities Trust. In response to its overwhelming success, the Trust made further donations to extend this popular and successful initiative until 2018, taking its total contributions to date to over HK$911 million. It is expected to benefit over 200,000 financially needy students a year.
