With a donation of more than HK$142 million from the Club in 2014, the four-storey, 50-year-old Caritas Social Centre in Tsuen Wan is being redeveloped into a 10-storey building that will facilitate the provision of more timely services to people from all walks of life. Upon completion, the building will allow Caritas to provide more community services, including community development services, trauma treatment, support services for the disabled, personal and centre-based care services for the elderly, and mental health and wellness programmes. Each year, over 217,000 individuals, families, deprived groups, people with disabilities, and elderly residents are expected to benefit.
