The Club donated about HK$110 million to the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society to convert the former Nam Long Hospital at Wong Chuk Hang into the Jockey Club Cancer Rehabilitation Centre. Opened in 2010, the Centre provides a "home away from home" environment and aims to provide high-quality, integrated Western and Chinese medical services for cancer patients as well as support to their families and carers. It also organises a range of life and death education, hospice care and recreational activities for patients.
