Promoting the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities has always been a goal of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. Since 2012, the Club’s Charities Trust has been supporting the iRun – Hong Kong Jockey Club Special Marathon with a donation to the organiser, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs).

Participation has grown year-on-year; and in 2016, a record-breaking 3,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their partners turned out to compete in the iRun that was held at the Central and Western District Promenade.

The Trust will continue to work with TWGHs to support this meaningful event in line with its strategic focus of supporting sports projects that can create lifelong positive values and hope.
