Hong Kong’s first and one of the largest purpose-built rehabilitation complex has expanded its services after a major renovation and the addition of a new extension to boost capacity was made possible by continuing support from the Club. The Club's support began in 1998 with a HK$178 million donation to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) to redevelop its Aberdeen centre into the TWHGs Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex. More recently, the Trust has provided HK$27.47 million to cover major repairs and renovations, and another HK$91.18 million to build an extension for additional residential and training places. To date, the Club’s total contributions to the project amount to over HK$296 million.
