Exercise benefits kids more than you'd expect

Some parents have their kids exercise in order to release their energy. Actually, exercising not only promotes the development of children’s physical fitness, but also helps to increase their self-confidence, stimulate creative thinking and creativity through the enjoyment and satisfaction that they find in the process. More importantly, the more children exercise, the more they can improve their nervous system, which helps them to control their emotions, while also improving their physical coordination and moving ability.

Here are some fun exercises that are suitable for children of different ages to do after school or during leisure time. They are simple and won’t take long!

  • 2-3 years old is the critical period for children to develop the exercise capability of large muscle groups. Have them stand on one leg, hop on one leg, walk up and down stairs, and ride a tricycle. All of these can also improve their balance.
  • 4 year olds can learn to kick a ball and attempt to control the direction of the kick, and use both hands to catch a ball thrown from different directions, this has a positive effect on the coordination of their eyes and limbs.
  • 5 year olds can practice standing with one foot in front of the other, and throw objects from one hand so as to strengthen muscular endurance of the upper limbs; or walk steadily forward on a balance beam to improve their balance.

So how much exercise is enough for one day? Let’s listen to what a Children Fitness Instructor suggests!
